WORKING GROUPS

Member-led Working Groups provide industry expertise and commitment to transparency education. Members participate in meetings focused on solving problems, sharing best practices, and developing strategies for a particular aspect of the mM program. There are Working Groups focusing on the following: Content, Furniture/Textiles, Outreach, Review, Portal, Manufacturer Engagement, and A&D Engagement. These Working Groups are foundational to the future of mindful MATERIALS and give members a voice.
The program’s success depends on these volunteers, and this page acknowledges their expertise, time and commitment to transparency.

CONTENT WORKING GROUP (CWG)

The Content Working Group (CWG) identifies the criteria (certifications, labels, general information, etc.) that will be recognized and included in the mindful MATERIALS Library. The goal of the CWG is to review in detail each new criteria and determine how each one maps across the reporting categories within the mM Library.
The Furniture Working Group (FWG) is a sub-group under the Content Working Group. The FWG determines the appropriate criteria to be included for furniture content in the mM Library. The goals of the FWG are to encourage furniture manufacturers to submit product information on currently-incorporated sustainable characteristics and increase awareness of emerging concerns for both manufacturers and users of the mM Library.
